Collection: John Hubbard

My work consists of oil paintings and one of a kind intaglio prints.  The paintings reflect my life experiences in the remote area of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
I am a retired art professor from the Art and Design Department at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan.  While there I was in charge of the Drawing and Painting concentration as well as the Printmaking and Papermaking program.  I also was the first director of Lee Hall Gallery which is now known as the DeVos Museum.  Since my retirement , I have devoted much of my time to my studio production at my home on Big Shag Lake in Gwinn, Michigan.
