Collection: Montana Leather Designs

Artist Statement: The stunning Montana landscape combined with the smell and feel of luxuriously tanned skins compel me to shape, carve, stretch, mold, stitch and paint on leather.  Found feathers and leaves inspire the one of a kind jewelry and home accents I create. Leather carving as taught by traditional saddle makers is the foundation of my work.  Upon that foundation, I search for new ways to interpret my western woman’s perspective using unconventional techniques and materials to produce one of a kind accessories.  The addition of iridescent colors and the marriage of leather to sterling silver, gold and gemstones is my hallmark.
